The Simple Table is a foundational piece that expresses the strength of our chosen material: birch plywood. The name speaks for itself. This aesthetically simple piece is equally simple to make, assemble, and finish. Simplicity is also the source of its visual and physical strength. The table’s structure is hidden to emphasize the design’s straight lines and straightforward silhouette.
The Flat Pack Chair exemplifies the design language of studio goons: namely, our angular ease and exact playfulness. Originally designed for a show in Los Angeles, this chair could fit into a flat pack box, fly internationally as a carry-on item, and be assembled on site. Though the chair no longer fits those dimensions, its simplicity, strength, and functionality remain. Its visible joints inform the piece’s fabrication and position in a room.
The size and finish/color are customizable.
