The MM Stool is a response to the intermediary step of furniture construction. As materials are cut and then stacked in the studio, they create a repeating geometric shape. We always enjoyed the natural design of the stacked wood components, and decided to create a series that celebrates the entirety of that organic, organizational process. The seat of the stool is an assemblage of pieces cut at 45 degree angles. This stacking technique results in varied patterns, making each side and each corner of the stool unique. It’s incidental details like this that inspire us. This versatile stool can be used as a seat, side table, or small coffee table. The M Capsule Collection includes the M Console and the MM Stool, and is a celebration of our constructive process.
